Idaho Bear Hunter Loses Leg

Idaho Bear Hunter Curtis Jaussi is recovering in a Boise, Idaho hospital after a accidental rifle discharge left him with a sever leg injury. The medical staff had to amputate the leg.  Jaussi and a hunting partner where hunting bear North of Fairfield.  Jaussi’s was putting his gun in a pack when it discharged in the pack striking him in the left knee.

Juassi’s hunting partner applied a tourniquet with a belt and hiked to nearest ranger station. Jaussi was airlifted to a regional hospital before being transported to Boise.
The Jaussi’s have 3 children and after undergoing a few surgeries and needing use of a prosthetic limb their medical bills are piling up fast.
